Located inside the Palm Creek RV Resort in Casa Grande, Arizona, the Palm Creek Sewing Guild is a private guild. The name symbolizes an all-inclusive group of individuals who wish to use the sewing room facility to enjoy sewing, quilting, or needlework, whether by hand or machine.
The sewing room is a spacious area that includes large cutting tables, multiple oversized ironing boards, numerous tables that can each accommodate six sewers/quilters, and lockers and cubbies to house machines and supplies. In addition, there are several design walls, a mini kitchen, onsite storage, a library, and a designated area for displaying upcoming projects and classes.
There are currently 230+ members which include individuals interested in sewing, garment making, embroidering, and quilting. There is a $20 "user fee" to be able to use our facility and have access to classes.
There is an elected board that hold offices and are responsible for leading the group. In addition to their official duties, they can be found in the sewing room most days and are enthusiastic participants in all aspects of the guild.
The sewing guild is known for doing a lot of charity work including quilts of honor, community quilts, pillowcases, receiving blankets, burp cloths, onesies, and baby blankets.
The guild has numerous classes taught by the members. There are also various clubs: Embroidery Club, Garment/Bag Club, Free Motion Club, Doll Club, and Skill Builders Club.
The annual quilt show is the highlight of every season. All of the members are extremely proud of the work they have accomplished and get a lot of accolades from the surrounding communities.
